Gibson Custom EDS-1275 Doubleneck (2017)
SG Electric Guitars by Gibson Custom
SG Electric Guitars by Gibson Custom
The original EDS-1275 was produced from 1963 to 1968 and was popularized by such legends as Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson, John McLaughlin and Don Felder. It was a unique model of its time, offering players effortless skip between six and twelve strings.
Current Gibson Custom EDS-1275 Doubleneck is as close to the original EDS, as one guitar can be to the other. Immaculate precision and painstakingly thorough recreation of the classic 18-stringer provide for an unforgettable experience. A trio of classic SG color options (Ebony, Alpine White and Heritage Cherry) constitutes the palette. All three options sport nickel-plated hardware.
Main features include a one-piece mahogany body, two one-piece mahogany necks (with matching profiles), two 20-fret rosewood fingerboards, close-geared tuners and four custom-wound Custom Bucker pickups (AlNiCo III).
