Ibanez introduced a total of 32 new electric bass models for 2018, with a vast majority, naturally, belonging to the ubiquitous SR range.
Ibanez`s 2018 lineup was introduced at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, Ca. Among over 100 new models, there were 32 electric basses. Most of them, of course, belong to the SR range. Besides SR, Ibanez Bass Workshop, BTB, Talman, and GSR ranges were also updated. The new Ibanez Bass Workshop received eight models: UB804, SRMS800, SRMS805, SRMS806, SRSC806, BTB845V, SRH505, and SRH505F. The new Sound Gear (the full name of the SR range) come in Premium and Standard classes, with no Prestige models introduced this time. New SR models in 2018 lineup will be: SR2600E, SR2605E, SR1820E, SR1825E, SR1700BE, SR1705BE, SR870, SR875, SR876, SR670, SR675, SR400EQM, SR300E, SR305E, SR1405, SR405EQM, SR370EF, and SR306EB. GIO`s SR series will be expanded with two new models: GSR200SM and GSR205SM. The Talman Bass series has received only one model, a standard class TMB100M. BTB series will feature five new basses: BTB1825E, BTB1826E, and BTB747.
