An overview of the updates unveiled for the regular LTD and LTD Deluxe ranges at this year`s NAMM show.
Wrapping up the extensive report on the ESP and LTD novelties unveiled at 2015 NAMM, we reach the updates introduced into the regular LTD Deluxe and LTD Standard ranges. Among the seventeen models introduced, there is only one seven-stringed model and one semi-acoustic. The rest of the roster is reserved for metal-oriented six-stringers which come in various forms and shapes, depending on the series they belong to. Also, a big novelty is the introduction of the EverTune bridge (one model has it), as well as EMG`s Metalworks humbuckers into the LTD Deluxe range. Besides that, FRX and Arrow series make their debut in the LTD Standard range with two and one models, respectively. M series novelties are: M-1000SE, M-1000 Ebony, M-1001 and M-200. EC gets three models: EC-1001ETFM, EC-1001FR and EC-401. H-1001FR is the only H series update, while the MH-1001NT and MH-1001FR reinforce the MH range. FRX debuts with FRX-401 and FRX-407, both available in black and white options. Arrow-401 is the budget variant of the E-II Arrow model. TE-406, TE-406FM and TE-407 are there for the Super Tele lovers and the TL-6SM is made for all the players out there who need a decent electro-acoustic six-shooter.
As the only series with four models, M kicks off the reviews section. M-1000SE is an old-school shredder with stripped down styling, passive Duncan humbuckers, Floyd Rose bridge, 24-fret maple fingerboard with locking nut, Grover machine heads and mahogany/flamed maple body. Another 1000 series model is M-1000 Ebony. Basically, this is the standard M-1000, but with an ebony fingerboard. Other than that, we have a solid, flat alder body with a set-thru maple neck, a Floyd Rose bridge, double EMG 81 cannons and Grover tuners. The first of several 1001 LTD Deluxe models for 2015, M-1001 is a solid, double-cut guitar with alder/flame maple body clad in see-thru black, set-thru maple neck, dual EMG Metalworks 81 humbuckers, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard and a set of Grover tuners. With the M-200 dressed in the menacing Black Desert Camo, M series gets a serious lower intermediate six-stringer. Basswood body in camo paint, bolted maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, ESP Designed humbuckers and licensed Floyd Rose bridge form the core of this metal warrior. EC-1001ETFM is the first of three EC models and the only LTD Deluxe guitar with the EverTune bridge introduced for 2015. Other than this revolutionary bridge system, mahogany/flamed maple body, set in mahogany neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard, Grover tuners and passive Seymour Duncan pickups are featured. With the elegant and ferocious EC-1001FR, EC series aims to cap as many metalheads who like short-scale guitars, as possible. This is a pro level six-shooter with EMG 81/60 pickups, Floyd Rose bridge, a mahogany/flamed maple body and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. The new EC-401 comes in four color schemes and features probably one of the strongest specs lists in the intermediate category. All-mahogany body is paired with a mahogany neck and topped with EMG`s 81/60 combo of active pickups. Also, the classic two-piece bridge, Grover tuners and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard are featured on this model. Abalone-decorated, white-clad H-1001FR is the only H series model in this article. Solid mahogany y body, set-thru maple neck, EMG 81/85 combo of pickups, Floyd Rose bridge, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard and LTD`s own tuning machines form the core specs of this high-end LTD. MH series boasts two 1001 tier updates and the MH-1001NT is the string-through-body variant. Mahogany back with a two-piece maple top, set thru maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top, Floyd Rose bridge, EMG`s 81/85 pickups combo and LTD tuners are featured on this black-clad beauty. For further info jump over to the MH-1001NT detail page on our site or ESP Guitars official web page.
Floyd Rose version of the MH series duet is named MH-1001FR. The same set of specs applies for this model as well, but with three significant differences. This one has a Floyd Rose bridge, a locking nut on the fingerboard and Grover tuners. For further info jump over to the MH-1001FR detail page on our site or ESP Guitars official web page.
The mighty FRX series makes its debut within the LTD range with two models. The basic model of the lineup is FRX-401, a solid, double-cut six-stringer with mahogany body, maple neck, EMG`s 81 and 60 pickups, Grover tuners and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. For further info jump over to the FRX-401 detail page on our site or ESP Guitars official web page.
Modern looking FRX-407 features the same set of specs and color options (black and white options) as the 401, but features an additional string, as well as the extended range pickups (81-7 replaces the classic 81, while 707 substitutes the 85). Newly established Arrow range will be represented in the LTD Standard range by the vicious Arrow-401 model. This modern, asymmetrical V comes with a mahogany-made body with beveled top, set-thru maple neck, licensed Floyd Rose bridge, EMG 81/85 pickups set and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Moving on to the TE range, the first of three updates introduced for 2015 is the mighty TE-406. Flat and single-cut mahogany body is paired with a bolted maple neck to form a solid base for this six-stringed metal machine. EMG`s 81/60 humbuckers, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and fixed bridge construction guarantee fantastic performance. For further info jump over to the TE-406 detail page on our site or ESP Guitars official web page.
Instead of an all-mahogany body, TE-406FM features a beautiful flamed maple top with creme binding around the edges. Other than that, this is your standard issue 406. EMG`s 81 and 60 pickups combo, fixed bridge, bolted maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top and Grover tuners form the core specs. For further info jump over to the TE-406FM detail page on our site or ESP Guitars official web page.
TE-407 is the only seven string model in this article, as its scale is too short (standard 25-1/2) for the Baritone section. With the same specs list as 406 (EMG 81-7/707, instead of 81/60 combo) and an extra string, this axe packs a beastly punch. Gorgeous TL-6SM is the only electro-acoustic guitar ESP has introduced at 2015 NAMM. It comes with a mahogany base, spalted maple top, set mahogany neck with 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top, B-Band electronics (transducer pickup/T-7 preamp) and Grover tuners.
